Industry People: “Why I am going to the CEPIC Congress”

Over the last couple of weeks some of the calls into the PAN office have covered the forthcoming CEPIC Congress – some say it’s a chance to meet again, discuss business and just enjoy getting away from the home-office! – a few callers are still sitting on the fence, not sure whether to attend.
So we asked these PAN readers to tell us why they will be attending this year:

“It’s a great chance to meet with our important current partners after so long, plus we’re relaunching a new revamped website, so are interested in meeting with agencies who have archive collections that will complement epa’s offering, the venue ain’t bad either!“
Tiffinni Field – Director International Sales European Pressphoto Agency epa.

“The CEPIC Congress has always been a key meeting place for agencies to get together to develop international representation. Online meetings are fine, but face to face meetings and chatting while socialising can lead to so many more ideas and opportunities than a scheduled call with a fixed agenda. Although the Congress is in a nice city with a nice climate, it is the opportunity to meet many existing and potential new agents in one place, and I would probably attend regardless of where it was held. Although I could have cancelled my attendance when Covid broke out, I rolled over my registration and was one of the hundred or so participants who did so. I thought it was important to keep my booking in place to support CEPIC, and keep a critical mass of people booked to encourage others to book when the Congress finally took place, otherwise there might not be another Congress and that would be a great loss to the industry in future years.
Happily, as the Congress grows closer, we are seeing more and more people attending as they can see the event will not only take place but have a better number attendees than expected. Also, I think people are looking forward to seeing people face to face again!”
Paul Brown – Managing Director Mary Evans Picture Library.

“We are proud to be returning as a sponsor again to this year’s CEPIC Congress and endorsing both their cause and our new brand alongside an exciting new content offering. We look forward to attending the event and networking with peers from the industry. In an opportunity to reconnect face to face with our established network for the first time post-pandemic we’re relishing being back at physical events and look forward to expanding our associate portfolio.
It’s guaranteed to be both professionally rewarding and enjoyable – thank you to CEPIC for putting together the event.”
Markus Kohl – CEO IMAGO.
