Magnum suspends photographer David Alan Harvey

More trouble at Magnum this week – photographer David Alan Harvey has had his membership to the agency suspended. The first suspension at the agency since being established in 1947. He joined Magnum Photos as an associate in 1993 and became a member in 1997. His profile page has been removed from the agency site.

Magnum released this statement:
‘A specific allegation has been made in confidence over the past few days relating to the personal conduct of David Alan Harvey. Such behaviour would represent a breach of the code of conduct. A formal investigation is being carried out and David Alan Harvey’s membership has been suspended whilst this process takes place.’

‘Magnum is committed to a safe work environment and we will fairly and thoroughly investigate allegations of improper conduct by photographers or staff.’
