This month Nature Picture Library have reported to PAN ‘a strong start to the year, with lots of great new photography added to our website over the last month.’
Joining the new batch upload is the image above by Bertie Gregory (an award winner in last year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition) which shows a pod of killer whales hunting a Weddell seal. The orcas’ synchronised charge creates a large wave, washing the seal into the water where it has little chance of escape.’
