Confirmed: Splash founder Kevin Smith launches a new photo agency: The Mega Agency Exclusive
The Mega Agency – so the rumours are true!

Finally confirmation from the horse’s mouth, the founder of Splash News Kevin Smith is getting back into the game. “Will, you ruined my chance of a great surprise, but well done for tracking it down. Yes, we will be launching a new agency for the new era of news. It won’t be the same as Splash – it will be bigger, faster, brighter, and with a host of gadgets for delivering content in new ways. The way people consume content has changed, and we will be focused on that.”
Smith has named former Getty executive Tom Tramborg as CEO of The Mega Agency. “I’ve worked with Tom for a number of years from when he was with Aller Press in Scandinavia. He brings a fantastic level of knowledge on new media technologies and ad revenue initiatives, the very kind of income generators needed to replace the revenue which used to come from print. More pictures are being seen by more people in more countries than ever before. Harnessing that is what we will be doing. This is going to be exciting. It is going to be Mega.”
