Support: Alamy’s James Allsworth – “I’m running the London Marathon 2020 for Bowel Cancer UK”

UPDATE: He’s half way there! “8 weeks to go until the Marathon so thought I’d enter the Vitality half marathon in London as a training run. Survived the bleakness of Canary Wharf on a Sunday morning and got through the race ok with great support on the way round. (Below pic) The thought of doing “another lap” of that again for the marathon in 8 weeks is daunting but exciting – especially as I’m up to 80% of my target sponsorship total now of £2500. 😊”

Right photo people – here’s your chance to support the Bowel Cancer UK charity and take a punt on Alamy’s Head of Content James Allsworth making 26 miles – Good man!

James told PAN:
“I’m incredibly excited / nervous to be one of the 100 people having the honour of running the London Marathon for Bowel Cancer UK.
I’ve been training since September in order to get fit enough to be able to run the 26.2 miles – no target time, I just want to be able to run the whole thing without stopping. Now with three months to go until race day, I need to start raising the sponsorship to get to my £2500 target. If you can spare anything for the cause that would be amazing – you can use the link below.”

“This disease has affected my close family, close friends and countless others around the world. In the UK alone, there are around 42,000 cases of bowel cancer diagnosed per year, causing 16,300 deaths – that’s 45 every day.”
