
EPA Images has opened applications for the second edition of its Advanced Programme in International News Photography. The inaugural EPA Academy (see the PAN report June 2025) included ten talented participants from Germany, the Netherlands, and other countries featured in the photo up top.
The programme – which will begin in autumn 2026 on site at the agency’s Frankfurt HQ – is a comprehensive 12 month course designed for emerging photographers seeking to specialise in the rapidly evolving field of news photography.

Participants receive in-depth instruction in the technical, journalistic, and creative skills required to capture compelling news imagery, while also developing expertise in the critical discipline of photo editing. Through monthly seminars, practical workshops, online sessions, and a two months on-the-job training, students gain practical experience in visual storytelling and learn how to produce and edit impactful news content for international audiences.
